What is 3-D Secure and how does it work?
3-D Secure was developed by leading credit card providers in order to protect credit card payments on the internet. More and more banks use this method.
How does 3-D Secure work?
Via the assignment of a secret password, it is ensured that the credit card owner is the only person capable of making a payment with this card. It is no longer sufficient to be in possession of the credit card data only.
The secret password is known to nobody except the credit card owner and the bank, and is filled in an input box provided by the bank when ordering at oeticket.com. Password theft via so-called phishing can thereby be prevented.
Upon first making a payment using your credit card within the 3D-Secure system, you will be asked to enter a password of your choice into the input box of the bank. For any future purchases with your credit card via the 3D-Secure system, please use the same password.
